Eric Carle Extravaganza

This week we read SO MANY wonderful Eric Carle books! These are some of our favorite books! I think our favorite was The Grouchy Ladybug and The Hungry Caterpillar! We even made our own caterpillar to display in our room!
Don't forget that on Thursday the 18th we will have our Thanksgiving Feast! You are welcome and encouraged to come as all the classes will join together for this feast! Please understand if you do come to the feast, we ask that take your child home with you afterwards.

We are still doing our canned food drive for Angels of Light! The class that brings in the most cans will win an ice cream party!

Community Helpers

We had a great week talking all about Community Helpers this week. The local fire department came to the school and they were WONDERFUL! First we listened as they explained what all of their protective wear was for. We even got to see one of them get in full gear! Then we checked out the truck. The firemen were AWESOME! They showed us so many things on their truck! We also watched a very short Elmo fire safety movie. It was a special treat to get to watch a movie in our classroom. We turned off the lights and pretended it was a movie theater. We tried on many different community helpers hats....even Ms. Cassie got in on the fun :)

Cotton Balls
Band Aids
Q Tips

Thanks so much!

Noah's Ark

Oh my goodness! Did we ever have a crazy busy week!?!?!?

We had so much fun learning all about Noah's Ark and the God's Promise.

On Wednesday everyone had lots of fun participating in the Noah's Ark Parade! We hope you enjoyed watching the parade!

We read MANY books about Noah and rainbows. We think their favorite was Ned's Rainbow by Melanie Walsh. It is a very simple book about at boy who wanted to touch a real rainbow, so his mother painted one in his room. Everyday the kids asked if we could read this book again and again. Many of them were saying that their mommies were going to paint a rainbow in their rooms :)

Much much love,

Noah's Ark Parade

Don't Forget that this WEDNESDAY will be our Noah's Ark Parade.

Your child will need to come to the school with their costume on. They will need to be wearing their "school clothes" underneath if possible. If not, no worries, we will change them afterwards.

The parade will begin about 9:10. The classes will walk around the stairs in the lobby 1-2 times.

Is there anything sweeter?

Creepy Crawlers!

This week we learned all about Creepy Crawlers! We talked about bugs, insects, and butterflies!

Our Bible Story this week was The Ten Plagues. The kids though it was funny to hear all about the frogs!

We read many books about bugs and sang many songs! We think their favorite was the Baby Bumblebee song!

In our Sensory Table this week, we found spiders hidden in webs and hidden in shaving cream!
We tried to build TOWERS as high as the ceiling!

We worked with the foods in our Kitchen.

We found shapes matches in this puzzle center.

We read lots of books in our library! We also played with these insect play dough stampers!

We also created a spider web using marble art!
Much Love,

Spish Splash

First....the pictures are not that great this week. I accidentally left my camera at home on Wednesday so we took a few shots with our phones and then on Thursday both of us had a sick kiddo so neither one of us were there. :(

This week we talked all about Water!

We had a great time as we watered our plants!

In our sensory table on Tuesday and Thursday the kids had so much fun finding "treasures" that were frozen in a block of ice. We used many different things to try to get the "treasures" out of the ICE!In Centers this week we read many books in our classroom library. We played with the small wooden blocks. We worked with our doodle boards. We had lots of fun with the hammer boards and the stacking pins.

In ART this week we sprayed colored water onto umbrellas and we also made a rain drop. On Wednesday we did Centers outside. We brought out the ice blocks, played with bubbles, and painted on the side of the church! It was gorgeous weather and we all REALLY enjoyed it!

Love,
