Spring Fever!

It has been beautiful weather and we LOVED talking all about it during our unit this week, which was SPRING FEVER!



We talked all about the different insects we could find outside as we made a stamped wind sock. We also painted butterflies! We also painted a garden stick and were able to use it in biodegradable flower pots. We planted a spring flower mix of seeds in these pots!

In our sensory table this week we had potting soil and flowers that we were able to "plant" in pots.

In centers this week we worked in play dough,in our dramatic play area, with wheeble whobbles, we worked on some matching games and in our library center!

Deep in the HEART OF TEXAS!

We had a wonderful week celebrating TEXAS!

We created a giant Texas flag that we displayed proudly in our classroom! We also painted the TEXAS large animal, the longhorn. We then painted some bluebonnets around the longhorn with our fingerprints.We worked on our fine motor skills by creating a TEXAS sticker collage.

In centers this week, we played in blocks, library, rescue hero's, play dough, and dramatic play!

We were able to make cowboy trail mix as a class together!

We also enjoyed a special treat! One of our sweet friends brought in a homemade cowboy cookie cake! We celebrated Darin's 3rd birthday with Donut Holes!

So funny what seems to be the highlight of our week! We needed to go upstairs to take a picture in front of a western backdrop for our scrapbooks! We decided to take the elevator instead of the stairs! It was hysterical!! They were SO excited!! Have a wonderful Spring Break!

Outer Space

This week we talked all about OUTER SPACE!

We had fun painted with all different shades of yellow. We then took our yellow masterpieces and made them into stars. We worked on gluing the yellow stars on black paper to make a star collage.

We also used stamps to make an OUTER SPACE collage!

In Centers this week, we worked with play dough, blocks, dramatic play, TONS of OUTER SPACE books and astronauts and rocket ships in our sensory table.

Our bible story this week was SON OF LAUGHTER from Genesis 12-21.
