Mother Goose - Part 1

We are working on our two week long Mother Goose unit! Our Nursery Rhyme unit is one of our favorites!

This week we focused on Humpty Dumpty and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

In Art Center we created a star collage and we put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
We found some new small blocks and the kids LOVED them!

In our sensory table we had different shape and sizes of blocks the kids were asked to build "walls" and then let "Humpty Dumpty" fall off of them!We worked on sorting with this candle activity. We worked on our fine motors as we sewed!
We also worked on this matching plate and spoon activity.

Have a wonderful week!

Transportation

This week we learned all about Transportation!
We talked about riding in boats, airplanes, cars, animals that can take you places, even our own feet!!

In Centers this week we sorted different transportation magnets. We sorted transportation vehicles by COLOR!
We worked on finding matches on a wall activity. We found matches to transportation vehicles, in the sky, on the ground and in the water. We played with many transportation vehicles in our Sensory Table. We also worked on some transportation puzzles.
We created many different color transportation tracks.
We used our fine motors to work on this train water transfer.

Gigglesbugs were at our school on Tuesday and Wednesday. The kids did a very good job! We can't wait to see how all the pictures turn out!
Much love,

Easter

What an amazing week we had this week at school!
We both feel so fortunate that we were able to talk to your children
about the true meaning of Easter.
We had a blast singing the stone was rolled away while we danced around our room!

The Easter bunny snuck into our school and took all of our eggs while we were singing our Good Morning song. We found them on the lawn at the front of the church. Can you spot the eggs?
On your mark, Get set,GO!

In our classroom; we had many fun centers this week!
In our sensory table we had Easter grass and mix matched Easter eggs. The children were asked to make matches with the eggs.We worked with this Easter egg water transfer. We had fun using side walk chalk on our wall!
We worked on our counting and number recognition with these Easter eggs and baskets.
We worked on sorting and our fine motors doing this pom pom activity.
We found hidden Easter erasers hiding in beans and found their match.
In Art Center, we worked with colored sand to create an Easter egg.
We also made a cross sun catcher!

On Thursday it was April 1....APRIL FOOLS DAY! We had lots of fun!
To get into our room, we had to use the slide from the toddlers class!
We took the bye bye buggie every where we went. We even got a little crazy...and had some bye bye buggie races :) The weather was PERFECT on Thursday so we basically did EVERYTHING outside!
We ate our snack outside,
had extra playground time,
played with bubbles,
played some basketball, and played with side walk chalk.
We only had to boo-boos! We even read stories and did our bible time outside! So much love! ~ Cassie and Jen
