God keeps His promises!

Noah's Ark!
We had such a great week during our Noah's Ark Week! We talked about Noah, his family, how he listened to God, the Ark, the animals and God's promise!
Everyone could not have looked any cuter dressed in their animal costumes for our annual Noah's Ark Parade! Thank you so much to all the parent's who were able to attend. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

In ART this week, we stamped animals on an Ark 2 by 2!We also worked with Fingerpaint to create a rainbow!

This week we worked in some of our tried and true preschool centers.
We worked with our animal puzzles.
We worked on matching foods in our Dramatic Play Center.
We played with cars in our Transportation Center. We read new books that were purchased by our wonderful parents at the book fair in our library center! Also, we worked with Play Dough.

Creepy Crawlers!

This week we learned all about Creepy Crawlers! We talked a lot about caterpillars, butterflies, spiders, and all sorts of different insects!

Our bible lesson this week was The Ten Plagues from Exodus 7-12.

Sometimes we will try out a new song or project that we think is going to be a HUGE hit and then it flops. Other times, we will be given something that we aren't in love with, but will try it just to mix up our circle time. This was the case this October Song. For whatever reason this song is a HUGE HUGE hit in our class. They LOVE it. It was so cute this week, during playground and center time we heard a few different kids just singing this song to themselves! Hopefully the November song will be just as popular!
In Art this week we painted a butterfly.

And we made a spider web using Marble Painting! We searched for spiders in our sensory table. They were hiding in shaving cream.

We also worked on "untangling" spiders that were caught in webs! (The webs were pillow stuffing)
We had fun playing with all the bug puppets and reading bug books! We also worked with insect stampers in our play dough center!

Noah's Ark Parade

It is that time of year again for our Annual Noah's Ark Parade! The Parade will be on
Tuesday the 27th and Wednesday the 28th.
The Parade will begin at 9:15.
We will walk around the staircase in the South Lobby.
After you drop off your child you may go to the South Lobby.

Please have your child wear a "comfortable" animal costume! Please know that you do not need to spend a lot of money for these costumes! If fact, some of the cutest costumes in the past have been very simple ones! The kids will enjoy this so much more if they are able to move around and comfortably participate in the parade!

We can't wait to see what animals all of our friends are going to come as!

We even get to dress up too....Here is a hint of what we will be... We make the sound Bzzzzz!

Carpool

Since this is our first year at the preschool to do carpool in the 2's class, we want your feedback. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns at all. Also please let us know how you thought it went this week!

We were very proud of our classes. Several other teachers complimented them on how well they did waiting in the carpool line!

Dads, Donuts & Water!

WOW, we have been so busy the last two weeks at the preschool! We really have hardly had time to even take very many pictures!

Last week our unit was all about FAMILIES!

We had our wonderful Dad's and Donuts! We want to thank everyone who was able to make it. It is a fun chance for the guys in our little one's lives to see where they spend their time at school!

Our bible story last week was Joseph saves his family from Genesis 42-46. We worked on the scripture Children, obey your parents from Ephesians 6:1. We read so many family books, we think everyone's favorite was "Shopping with Daddy!"
In Art Center we made a puzzle piece art project and also a family collage!
This week our unit was WATER!!!

We talked about all the fun things that can be done with water. We love to ask them open-ended questions and hear what they come up with. Here are some of their answers!
We used new eye droppers to water our plants this week. They were kinda tricky, but fun to use!We also started a science experiment to see what happens when we use colored water with white flowers! We can't wait to see the flowers next week!In Art this week, we began working on a special Christmas "surprise", we stamped using water related stamps and we made a rain drop!In our sensory table we had boats and funnels one day and then dishes to clean the next!
We had so much fun when we went outside to paint with water and splash around in some rain puddles!
We celebrated 3 birthdays! Happy Birthday to Ella, Noah and Harrison!

See you next week!
