Carpool Poll

This is the first year that the 2's classes have been separated between "older and younger" 2 year olds.

After speaking with Heather, we think that our classes are ready and fully capable to do the carpool. Your kids are doing amazing! There independence levels are soaring!

Here are the basics of carpool if you are not familiar with it already.
Carpool is only offered for pick up, not drop off. There is not carpool for the children that do not stay for lunch bunch. Carpool is from 2:20-2:35.

We want your input! Please leave a comment or send one of us an email and let us know your thoughts!

All About Apples!
We had a wonderful week talking all about apples. We talked about how apples grow on trees, how apples are different colors and sizes, how apples are healthy for us, and how apples and apple products (applesauce, apple juice, apple pie, etc..) are yummy!
We read many apple themed books!
Our two favorite were The Little Red House and Ten Apples Up on Top. The Little Red House is a story about finding a house that is an apple. The fun thing about this story is finding the star inside!

Ten Apples Up On Top!We had fun trying to balance Apples Up On Top of us! We also introduced our Listening Center this week. Everyone loved hearing the story Under the Apple Tree! Our Bible Story this week was The Sneaky Snake from Genesis 2!In Centers this week we:

Found apples hiding in rice that needed to be in the Apple Basket using tongs. Worked on a number recognition game, where we worked on putting the correct number of apples on the apple tree! We fed a horse an apple snack! We made apple pies with play dough! We sorted apples by color using GIANT tongs! We sorted apples by color on our felt board. We worked on some apple lacing cards. We also used our fine motors to play with apple stickers!

In our Sensory Table this week, we had apples and sneaky snakes and we had apples and water! We had some special treats along with our snack this week! We tasted apple sauce, drank apple juice (that we poured ourselves) and even got to taste mini apples!

In Art this week we stamped with apples, worked on an Apple Counting Book (sorry...did not get any pictures of these, only the painted cover), worked on an apple color collage (we got this great idea from Preschool Daze), made an apple tree from our handprint and we painted our hands/ apples on a tree that we put outside our door (I didn't get a picture of this either.)The weather was a little unpredictable this week, it was raining so we were able to enjoy our indoor playground. Then, it was a wonderful crisp afternoon, so we were able to eat our lunch outdoors!

Have a wonderful weekend!
